Jim Clark
James Clark jr was born on 4th of March 1936, known as Jim Clark, he was a British Formula One racing driver from Scotland, who won two World Championships, his first being in 1963 and his second Championship came in 1965.
He spent his whole time in Formula One racing for the Lotus team. Clark was a versatile driver who competed in a whole array of Motorsport events, as well as Formula One, he competed in; Formula Two, Touring Cars Championship, Sports Cars, and in the Indy 500, which he won in 1965. He was tragically killed in a Formula Two motor racing accident in Germany, at the Hockenheim Circuit in 1968. At the time of his death, he had won more Formula One Grand Prix races - 25, and achieved more Grand Prix pole positions - 33, than any other driver. |
