McLaren M4/A - Formula 2 - 1967
This is the McLaren M4/A built and designed by Robert Herd for the Formula Two Championship Season in 1967. The car is equipped with a Cosworth FVA 1'600cc engine that produces 230bhp. The car was raced by Bruce McLaren and the best place finish achieved was a 2nd place finish at Rouen in the French GP.
The car was later converted into a Formula One spec racer named the McLaren M4B, which raced at Formula One level until an all-new purpose-built McLaren M5A was ready to race at the top level. The team considered creating a Formula Three version, although it was never produced.
